Bespoke crating
Wooden crates in neutral timber, dimensions taken at the Coordination Visit. Interior lined with acid-free tissue at neutral pH, DuPont Tyvek non-woven for sensitive surfaces, Bullkraft anti-condensation kraft for long transits, high-density polyethylene foam. ISPM 15 timber for international air or sea freight. Climate-controlled transport at 16-22 °C, 45-55 % relative humidity for sensitive media.
DRAC and CITES export
For cultural goods leaving the European Union above the statutory thresholds, export certificate issued by the DRAC Île-de-France · instruction time approximately four months. For works incorporating protected materials (antique ivory, tortoiseshell, certain woods), CITES export and import permits under the 1973 Washington Convention and Regulation (EC) No. 338/97. The Maison files these in-house, in coordination with the consignor’s notary or commissaire-priseur when applicable.
Unmarked convoy & AXA cover
For pieces of higher declared value, an unmarked vehicle and two-operative binôme from dismounting to rehanging. Continuous geolocation, escort according to value tier. Liability under AXA France IARD policy door-to-door. For pieces above €10,000 unit value, ad valorem cover procured with AXA at 0.7 % of declared value.
